~Thought For The Day~Life is But That of a Butterfly ©

Life is but that of a butterfly.
Think about that statement for a moment and I will then continue.

As I have dealt with many emotions in the last two days, it has brought about much wisdom and reflection.  Our small community is feeling so hurt right because we lost a gorgeous soul and her name is Janay.
I have watched and observed people breaking down, saying kind words and remembering, all of us that knew her, recalling that fabulous smile and infectious laugh of hers.

I think if she could read all the sincere and heartfelt testimonies of how much she touched our lives she would be astounded by the outpouring.

Life is but that of a butterfly.

Think about it.

A butterfly has the life span of roughly two weeks to a month. When we think of our own lives in comparison that is a small amount of time.
In the life of a butterfly they grace us with a beautiful presence, an amazing show of color, and as they drift out silently on painted wings into the sky, we are left with the beauty of their being.

They fly about us, giving reassurance, joy and in my case, they represent hope.
Our sweet Janay was one of those amazing butterflies. She fluttered into our lives, gave us a glimpse of what true beauty is, she danced into our line of vision and silently fly away.

Her impression upon us will forever be steadfast.

Life is but that of a butterfly.

I believe with all of my heart that this shows us all that no matter what, we can all come together, we can mend fences, make amends and that my friends is the hope that Janay left us with.
We can make things right, we can reconcile and bring peace, not after our passing, but now.

I have talked to so many people over the course of two days, some that I stay in touch with, others I haven’t heard from in years, and it made me see, time is so very short here on this earth and we waste much of that time.
We get caught up in the “I will do it later”, and the “I might someday” and before you know it, that chance is gone.

I myself am guilty of doing this and I will no longer.
Life is far too precious and short, I will make those calls, visit, and reach out to people who I need to tell that no matter how much time has passed, they are in my heart, and will remain so even after the flight of this world takes me away.
Life is but that of a butterfly.

You can change a person’s world by just being in it, reach out, reach down, whatever the case may be, and remember that it must be done today, for we are not promised a tomorrow.

I will smile today, even in tears, because I know that my sweet friend is now surrounded by angels, and she has a peace in her heart that we all have yet to know. Although sadness is upon us, we can know without doubt that she is in the presence of our Maker, and all the wounds of this world are now healed by him.
Let us all come together, love each other, and dance in the delight of being given another day here, another chance.

Rest in peace Janay, your magnificent show in our lives will be always in our hearts.

Life is but that of a butterfly.

Here are my thoughts.
